Emry Dilday - Passing of an SMFOA Legend

It is with great sadness that we convey the passing of Emry Dilday on June 2nd, 2025.

Emry had tremendous impact on high school football and Missouri sports in general.  Emry was awarded many accolades during his officiating career including:

SMFOA Awards Chairmanship

 2011 NFHS Hall of Fame

2019 Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

2013 Springfield Area Sports HOF

2014 SMFOA Hall of Fame

2005 MSHSAA Irwin A Keller Award

1999 MSHSAA Distinguished Service Award

MSHSAA Observer & Historian

It is truly the end of an epic era, and everyone is worse off for no longer having Emry’s experience, guidance, wisdom, and leadership available to them. He was the heart and soul of this great SMFOA organization for over 60 years.
